“To me dreams are part of nature, which harbors no intention to deceive but expresses something as best it can.” - C. G. Jung
My name is Claire Mouchot. I am a fully qualified jungian analyst and member of the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (G.A.P.) in London. My training with G.A.P. included 4 years of theory, a thorough personal analysis, 200 hours of clinical placement in a psychiatric unit in South London and several years of practice under thorough supervision.
I abide by the code of ethics of G.A.P., which is a member organisation of UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). I hold a membership of UKCP.
In parallel to this training, I have explored and attempted to better know myself (and the world surrounding me) through other approaches including vipassana meditation according to S. N. Goenka's approach, traditional shamanic healing techniques, exploration of Tantra and female sexual energy, and Movement Medicine. I also have 15 years of 5Rhythms® movement meditation practice.
My background includes nearly 10 years working in the area of neuroscience research (PhD from the University of Manchester). I have lived, studied and worked in African, Anglo-saxon and latin cultures. I keep abreast of the outcomes of biomedical research related to mindfulness, feelings and emotions and am curious about the links that exist between mind and matter.
I came to the UK in 1997 and I offer psychotherapy and analytical psychology in both English and French.
